Sustainable and Resilient Farming Systems Intensification in the Eastern Gangetic Plains (‘SRFSI’)

Overview:

SRFSI is a project led by CIMMYT, which aims to improve the productivity, profitability and sustainability of smallholder agriculture and the reduction of poverty in the Eastern Gangetic Plains by facilitating the adoption of farming practices which optimize the productive use of water, inputs and labour, while safeguarding soil resources and reducing climate- and market-based risks. IWMI is leading a compnent of this research to understand the constraints and bottlenecks in the uptake of climate smart technologies, in particular irrigation technologies.
