Evaluation of participatory irrigation management in Southeast Asia
Researchers will propose indicators for evaluation of participatory irrigation management (PIM) schemes by analyzing past experiences and investigating the current status in selected sites in Southeast Asia. Researchers from the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) will collect data through organizations in charge of irrigation in Southeast Asia; conduct a field study and analysis of physical and socioeconomic conditions at the project sites; and propose indicators. The results will be shared and disseminated through workshops and published articles in academic journals. A technical manual on the evaluation of PIM in Southeast Asia will also be published.
