Strengthening the capacity for managing environmental flows in Uganda

Duration : August 1, 2018 - November 30, 2018

Development of hydropower is booming in Uganda, posing a threat to river ecoystems and those societies downstream who depend on the rivers for their livelihoods. This training initiative is aimed at building the capacity of all of the relevant government organisations who are involved in water, environment and electricity, illustrating how best to manage hydropwer dams and in particular to promote the introduction of meaningful e-flows or environmental flows into their water resources management policies and procedures.
