IWMI SEA participates in Lao Government Water Day Event

Yesterday, March 29, IWMI Southeast Asia was invited to be an exhibitor and display our work and publications  at the Lao People’s Democratic Republic celebration of World Water Day for high level decision makers, government officials, water resource stakeholders including donor organization and private investors, academic staff, students, youth, and the general public to promote cooperation for the implementation of Integrated Water Resources Management. The event was held by the Laos Department of Water Resources (DWR).

The event included a scientific seminar on the 2017 theme, “Water and Waste Water,” serving as a venue for exchange of ideas/knowledge on scientific issues related to waste water, water resource management, socio-economic values, human needs, environment and economic growth in order to eradicate poverty in the country. The event was a key platform for showing how our RRR business models have been effective in other countries while showcasing our other water resource management expertise in the region.
